groundwork and the orchard

The active inclusion team were at work again in the woodlands this time in the heritage orchard planting replacement trees in the spaces where we lost trees, they just didn’t thrive so we have bought bigger models gave them mychorizal fungi and a large hole with a good mix of compost well rotted manure and top soil.

The planting event appeared briefly in the background to a BBC interview with the chief exec of groundwork last friday, thankyou Hywel, Matthew and team.

Replacements were old gages , damson and apples so hopefully good crops for everyone in a few years time.
